Chief Web Technologist

We are seeking an accomplished web developer to fill a pivotal role in our technology department.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in crafting, maintaining and enhancing websites and web applications.

• Design and Development: Create responsive websites and web applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• User Interface Implementation: Implement user interface components and interactions based on design mockups and wireframes.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage front-end frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap, React or Vue.js to streamline development processes.
• Server-Side Logic and Database Structures: Develop server-side logic and database structures using back-end frameworks and technologies like Node.js, Django or Ruby on Rails.
• Security Measures: Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure data security and user privacy.
• Databases Management: Design and maintain databases to store and retrieve website content, user information and application data.
• Database Optimization: Optimize database queries and indexes for improved performance and scalability.
• Database Maintenance: Perform database backups, migrations and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of web applications to identify and resolve bugs, errors and compatibility issues.
• Automated Testing Frameworks: Implement automated testing frameworks and unit tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify software functionality and usability.
• Version Control Systems: Use version control systems like Git to manage code repositories and track changes over time.
• Deployment: Deploy web applications to production servers or cloud platforms using automated deployment tools like Jenkins or Docker.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor website performance, uptime and security vulnerabilities, and implement necessary updates and patches.

A comprehensive understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies is required.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git is also essential.
