Airfield Ground Movements Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Airfield Ground Movements Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft on the airfield.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Marshalling: Direct the movement of aircraft using ADGS and manual marshalling techniques, ensuring safe distances and clear communication with pilots.
  • FOD Prevention: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential FOD hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
  • GSE Operations: Safely operate and maintain GSE, including wheel chocks and grounding cables, to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Tow Bar Operations: Connect and disconnect tow bars to air tugs, and transport GSE to designated areas, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals, providing assistance and expertise as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • NITEC in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Shift Work Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying shift patterns, including night shifts and weekends.
  • English Language Competence: Strong reading and comprehension skills in English language.
  • LTA Class 3/4/5 License Advantage: Possession of LTA Class 3/4/5 license advantageous.
  • Comprehensive Training: Receive intensive 3-week training program to develop essential skills and knowledge.
