Cloud-Based Technical Lead for Shipping Industry

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical lead to oversee the development of our cloud-based, fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As the technical lead, you will be responsible for overseeing hands-on development, system design, and one or more sub-systems within an agile development group.
  • You will collaborate with the group manager and members to ensure successful task deliveries and provide solutions for business needs.
  • Your contributions will play a significant role in shaping the architecture and quality of our entire solution, reporting directly to the VP of R&D.
  • You will maintain high development and delivery standards for your group as defined by our organization's policies.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 10 years' experience in software development, mainly backend or full stack development.
  2. At least 5 years leading system-level designs and architecture for entire web-based solutions or substantial sub-systems.
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience as a designer/architect of large scale and high-performance distributed systems.
  4. A minimum of 7 years development and code-level design experience with Node.js, C# or Java.
  5. At least 2 years of experience with relational databases.
  6. Practical experience with microservices architecture and event-based systems.
  7. Familiarity with OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  9. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  10. Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision as part of a diverse team.
  11. Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Comfortable working with Windows and Linux as production environments.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with international technical managers and colleagues.
