The National Telephone Co-op Assoc is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Supervisor to lead our Member Service Technicians and Forman. This critical role involves overseeing the supervision of all Member Service Technicians, ensuring efficient installation, maintenance, and servicing operations for the MST department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage departmental organization, staffing, employee development, training, and work procedures and practices.
- Supervise installation, maintenance, and servicing operations, monitor work schedules for installation and maintenance of Business and residential services.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Member Service Specialists, and OSP Support Specialists departments to ensure projects and workload are completed efficiently.
- Perform vehicle, equipment, and tool safety inspections incorporating OSHA, DOT, and company regulations and policies.
- Investigate job-related accidents and alert department employees to hazards related to work performance.
- Conduct monthly departmental safety meetings in cooperation with the Safety and Training Coordinator.
- Work closely with the Vehicle Fleet Manager to maintain and service the vehicle fleet for the MST department.
- Monitor and analyze GPS tracking and reporting systems to maximize efficiency.
- Identify specific training requirements and needs based on observations and communication with Central Office and MST Foremen and staff.
- Review facility conditions and make recommendations to the Director of Field Operations on major facility improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain effective relationships with all Field Operations work groups and coordinate effectively with other departments.
- Conduct regular field checks to ensure technicians adhere to established installation and repair standards, safety requirements, and quality workmanship.
- Evaluate and research test equipment, tools, equipment needs; provide input for annual budget planning.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of provisions in the Union Contract.
