We are seeking a skilled programmer to join our development team and contribute to the creation of scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with external and internal partner APIs to extract and load data into our data platform.
  • Design and implement data integrations to external partners and ETL jobs in collaboration with the Engine team.
  • Integrate code and workflows written by other teams within the company.
  • Pioneer the direction of the code and infrastructure architecture.
  • Design and implement database schemas and queries using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Architect and implement scalable and resilient microservices using Scala and related frameworks.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of the code.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported by QA or end-users.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application code and database queries.
Requirements
  • A senior software engineer with 7 years of experience and a computer science background who has previous experience managing data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with the Java ecosystem, preferably Scala programming language and related frameworks/libraries.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and web services.
  • A strong understanding of database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data engineering technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Delta Lake, or similar, and experience with DevOps.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including unit testing, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English communication and collaboration abilities.
