Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of Sony's APAC networks. This individual will be responsible for performing security monitoring and incident response activities, leveraging a variety of tools and techniques to detect incidents through proactive "hunting" across security-relevant data sets.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform Security Monitoring: Conduct regular security monitoring to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within Sony's APAC networks.
- Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response strategies to mitigate the impact of security breaches and ensure timely remediation.
- Threat Analysis: Analyze raw log files, packet captures, and other security-related data to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of potential security threats.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including information security, information technology, and application teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in cybersecurity to stay ahead of potential security risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology and 7 years in Information Security.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center environment conducting network, host, or threat analysis, as well as experience analyzing raw log files, packet captures, and other security-related data.
- Certifications: Advanced technical skills and certifications in relevant areas, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH.
