This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of clinical research projects, including developing and maintaining trial budgets, tracking costs, and generating invoices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and manage clinical trial budgets, working closely with project management and operations teams.
  2. Monitor and analyze study-related costs, identifying variances and taking corrective action as needed.
  3. Prepare and submit invoices to sponsors based on agreed-upon terms and conditions.
  4. Ensure timely follow-up on payments and reconcile any discrepancies.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for each clinical trial, including contracts, amendments, and payment schedules.
  6. Contribute to financial forecasting and revenue recognition efforts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  7. Provide regular financial updates and insights to project leads and senior management.
  8. Support audit readiness by maintaining compliant documentation, adhering to GCP, financial regulations, and sponsor requirements.
  9. Collaborate with finance and business development teams to inform pricing strategy for new proposals.
  10. Assist with financial close processes, reconciliations, and accruals related to research projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or related field (CA/ACCA/CMA or Master's degree preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial roles, preferably in relevant field.
  • Proven experience in project accounting, budgeting, or sponsor invoicing is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, revenue recognition, and GAAP/IFRS.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), and familiarity with CTMS/clinical billing systems is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
