System Maintenance Technician Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to install and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal functionality. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of computer software and hardware, internet applications, networks, and operating systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware Setup

Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).

System Checks

Verify the functionality of computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards, etc.).

Software Configuration

Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.

Network Development

Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance.

Security and Privacy

Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.

User Training

Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

Maintenance Scheduling

Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting others' work.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve problems by repairing or replacing parts, debugging, etc.

Record Keeping

Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedules.

Equipment Procurement

Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
