Job Description

Digifloat is a forward-thinking company seeking an experienced Data Engineering professional to join its dynamic team. As a key player in our data-driven ecosystem, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create high-quality analytical datasets from raw data, reducing time-to-market and decreasing data consumption costs.
  2. Manage these datasets as products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and governance.
  3. Collaborate with the team to develop the data product roadmap, aligning it with the company's overall strategy and initiatives.
  4. Ensure seamless integration of data products with our overall data architecture, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
  5. Meet functional and non-functional requirements while maintaining the highest standards for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
  6. Apply robust engineering techniques to ensure trustworthiness, quality, privacy, and security for all data products.
  7. Foster strong communication with stakeholders to promote data awareness and usage across the organization.
  8. Pursue ongoing innovation and automation to minimize manual efforts and maximize data value.
  9. Co-create transformative cases with data experts to drive business impact.
  10. Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, operating in an agile context.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Data Engineering with a strong background in cloud technologies.
  • Mastery of existing and emerging data technologies, including Hadoop, Scala, Spark, Kafka, SQL, Flink, Cassandra, ELK, and more.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions using AWS services like IAM, S3, Glue, EMR, EKS, and Sagemaker.
  • Knowledge of system administration, containerization (Docker or Kubernetes), and software development best practices.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges, with a knack for spotting optimization potential and realizing it through robust engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable challenging others, and able to take end-to-end ownership of projects.
  • A pragmatic approach, using the right techniques to provide needed quality and detail while avoiding complexity.
