Health Representative Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Health Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional presentations to healthcare professionals in their assigned territory.

The primary goal of this role is to generate business by showcasing products and their benefits to customers. To achieve this, the representative must possess in-depth knowledge of the products and stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activities.

As a Health Representative, you will work closely with your District Field Manager (DFM) to ensure accurate records of customer interactions and provide regular reports through the Management Information (M.I.) system.

A successful Health Representative will develop a comprehensive weekly and monthly call plan to optimize coverage of A, B, and C class customers, as defined by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Represent products to practicing physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations within the assigned territory.
  • Present professional selling skills to listed doctors on approved indications of products to increase prescriptions.
  • Submit regular reports regarding calls made to doctors and chemists to the DFM through the M.I. application.
  • Foster ethical practices while promoting products to customers and communicate the desired information about product benefits.
  • Organize Product Group Meetings with doctors to discuss specific products in detail.
  • Maintain knowledge on own and competitive products.
  • Gather and report information on promotional and marketing activities of competitors.
  • Provide periodic feedback to your manager and marketing group on these activities.
  • Ensure stock availability of major promotable products at retail level in the territory for honoring prescriptions generated by customers.
  • Follow plans to achieve assigned objectives for increased prescription flow from identified doctors and report findings periodically to the DFM.
  • Forward technical queries raised by doctors to the Medical Division for clarification with notification to the DFM.
  • Maintain proper attire, records, detailing kit, and vehicle provided.
  • Submit expenses and leave plans as per deadlines.
Qualifications:

Science graduate, preferably PharmD

Work Experience: Minimum 2 years, maximum 6 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
