Business Analyst Job Description

This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates or individuals with up to 6 months to 1 year of experience who are eager to start a career in business analysis. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making, improve business processes, and contribute to delivering valuable solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirement Gathering: Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements through meetings, interviews, and research. Translate business needs into clear, concise, and accurate technical requirements.
  • Process Mapping: Create process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams to visualize current and future workflow. Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data to support business decisions. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel, Power BI, or other tools.
  • Project Support: Participate in agile/scrum meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Assist project managers in tracking deliverables, timelines, and risks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews to ensure clear communication between all parties.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic understanding of business process modeling, requirement gathering, and SDLC.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, eagerness to learn and take initiative.
