The Aga Khan University Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to patients under one roof. It has a network of hospitals, medical centres and clinical laboratories across Pakistan. The hospital provides quality care to patients in need.

Job Responsibilities
  • To receive and correctly identify patients for surgical procedures.
  • To check patients scheduled for surgery in the Operating Room and ensure proper takeover of patients' files.
  • To complete all per-operative documentation pertaining to patients' surgery.
  • To ensure that all specimens are removed during surgery, correctly labeled and dispatched for necessary investigation as advised by the surgeon.
  • To scrub for designated cases while displaying competence for different areas as per the scope of services of the hospital.
  • To assist in the safe transportation of patients before and after surgery.
  • To timely report any problem with equipment to the concerned for rectification.
  • To assist in preoperative patient preparation and coordinate with the scheduler in the smooth running of the OR list.
Requirements

You should have:

  • A Matriculation with pre-medical background and Intermediate in any discipline.
  • A Diploma in OT Technician from a reputable institution.
  • Preferably one year of relevant experience.
  • A good understanding of basic anatomy / physiology and OR terminologies, and ability to identify surgical instruments.
  • A good understanding of sterilization and disinfection procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure.
  • Willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations.
  • Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
