Senior Instructor Position

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our faculty as a Senior Instructor. This role is responsible for teaching and mentoring students in nursing and midwifery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver lectures on mathematical concepts relevant to nursing practice.
  • Innovate teaching methods by integrating basic mathematical concepts into drug and dosage calculations.
  • Moderate formative quizzes and mock tests to monitor student progress.
  • Provide personalized guidance to students needing additional help with understanding mathematical concepts.
  • Develop grade exam papers in accordance with assessment policies and procedures.
  • Offer academic counseling to students on various matters.
  • Participate in day-to-day activities at the School of Nursing and Midwifery as a faculty member.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree (MScN/MSc in MPH, Epi Bio, HPM) with Basic Nursing qualification as mandatory.
  • Clinical competence as a professional nurse and an effective role model.
  • Sound conceptual knowledge of nursing/field of specialization and ability to integrate theory into practice.
  • Good teaching skills & knowledge of new teaching methodologies & practices.
  • Knowledge of current research methodologies, and an ability to initiate research.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with course participants.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and related computer software packages.
  • Good interpersonal skills & ability to work with teams.
