Android App Developer

We are looking for a skilled software engineer to develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications. Your expertise in application architecture and the newest mobile technologies will be invaluable in our collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build advanced mobile applications using your knowledge of application development principles and the Android platform.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
  • Ensure unit-testing of code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Develop strong knowledge of Android SDK and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON is essential.
  • Proficient in third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies is required.
  • A solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of MVC, MVVM, Architecture components, and memory management is expected.
  • Knowledge of ROOM models and defining relationships, accessing data using DAO's is essential.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ROOM and SQLite and the ability to perform CRUD operations, JOINs, and proficient in RDBMS is required.
  • Good understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers is an advantage.
  • The ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements is crucial.
  • Experience with Firebase real-time database, remote config, cloud message APIs, and push notifications is a plus.
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines is essential.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools is necessary.
  • Experience working with Google Maps & Navigation APIs is an advantage.
  • Having strong skills in Gradle and Android Studio is required.
