Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical assistance and support for network infrastructure, server systems, and hardware/software-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for hardware, software, networking, and server-related problems.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal network performance, including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based servers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform regular system backups, patch management, and updates to prevent downtime.
  • Manage Fortinet, Security surveillance, and Access controls to ensure robust security protocols.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for network and server support to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies and security protocols to safeguard the organization's assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-4 years) in IT support with a focus on network and server troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations is essential.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic Linux server administration is required.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are necessary to interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
