PHP Developer Opportunity

The role of PHP Developer involves creating and maintaining web applications using PHP as the primary programming language. This position requires collaboration with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet client and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Web Development:
    • Develop, test, and maintain web applications and websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other related technologies.
    • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
    • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  2. Frameworks & CMS Integration:
    • Work with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter to develop robust and scalable applications.
    • Customize and extend content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal to meet specific project requirements.
    • Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications.
  3. Database Management:
    • Design and manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database systems.
    • Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
    • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing proper validation and sanitization techniques.
  4. Testing & Debugging:
    • Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of web applications.
    • Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance.
  5. Project Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver on time.
    • Participate in project planning, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
  6. Maintenance & Updates:
    • Regularly update and maintain existing web applications, ensuring they remain secure, functional, and up-to-date with the latest technologies.
    • Implement new features and enhancements based on client feedback and business needs.
    • Monitor server and application performance, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
  7. Continuous Learning & Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP developments, web technologies, and industry trends.
    • Experiment with new tools and technologies to improve development processes and enhance application performance.
    • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and conferences to continually improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, including object-oriented programming (OOP) and PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing SQL queries.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of web security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
