Lead Data Scientist

The role of a Lead Data Scientist involves collaborating with regional solution leads, services sales teams, and product management teams to support pre-sales and solutions activities.

This position requires conceptualizing use case solutions and supporting pre-sales initiatives. The scope of this role includes analyzing customer requirements, leading discussions on assigned solutions, and developing ready-to-engage and ready-to-sell collateral.

A strong understanding of business use cases, technical skills, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer requirements through extensive data exploration and analysis phases.
  • Lead the discussion and conceptualization of assigned solutions.
  • Develop ready-to-engage and ready-to-sell collateral.
  • Use analytical tools and deep learning frameworks to deliver required solutions.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to come up with possible solutions/analytics.
  • Build solution showcases and support account teams in high-end customer pitches.
  • Support pre-sales initiatives by positioning solutions to customers and building estimations.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to pre-sales opportunities as per customer requirements.
  • Conduct assessment and POC activities to support pre-sales teams.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in data-driven fields (e.g., BI, DWH, analytics).
  • Strong hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Java).
  • Comfortable with and experienced using SQL.
  • In-depth understanding of machine learning concepts and statistical modeling.
  • Exposure and experience with artificial intelligence and deep learning.
  • Business understanding for at least 2-3 fields/domains.
  • Ability to analyze customer technology, define business requirements, and participate in risk analysis activities.
  • Strong requirement elicitation and analysis skills.
