Expert Treasurer

This leadership position involves overseeing the effective management of Treasury and Capital Market Operations. It includes transactions pertaining to ALM, regulatory, and proprietary portfolios. The individual will enforce adequate control over dealing room activities, set up processes for operational risk management, monitor authorized limits, and ensure timely settlement of financial and capital market products.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Effective day-to-day planning, operations, and problem-solving to ensure high-quality service delivery as per agreed SLAs/TATs and SOP/local rules.
• Preparing comprehensive functional and procedural requirements of business groups for the implementation of new treasury systems and its interfaces with various processes and systems.
• Having in-depth knowledge of financial market products, local settlement processes, and regulatory guidelines related to treasury.
• Assisting business and working towards best practices with zero compromise on controls and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitoring and ensuring that all FX, money market, and other capital market products are within approved limits.
• Facilitating documentation of all processes, operational risks, and detailed process flows.
• Ensuring a robust settlement process with digital flow and minimal manual intervention.
• Following accounting standards and having complete knowledge of accounting events related to all products dealt by treasury and capital markets.
• Being familiar with local settlement processes for these products, including government securities (T-Bills, fixed-rate/floating-rate investment bonds, and sukuks).
• Documenting and overseeing process flows for validation, confirmation, settlement, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting related to treasury transactions.
• Ensuring system implementation covers all end-to-end flows and events of the products involved. All life cycle events of these products should be facilitated in the system.
• Adhering to treasury and organizational policies at all times.
• Working closely with relevant stakeholders, including treasury front office, market risk, finance, accounting unit, and technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduate in finance/accounting or related field with thorough understanding of treasury function, including middle office and operations.
• A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in treasury and related functions.
• In-depth knowledge of financial market products, settlement methods, treasury documentation, related limits, and treasury accounting.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt to changing work scenarios, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven leadership skills, strong intellect, and disciplined approach to change.
• Experience with financial modeling and cash forecasting.
• Capacity to apply industry best practices for designing, developing, and implementing operational risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team management, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Good project management skills and comfort with using data to manage and optimize operations.
