Senior Accountant Position

This senior accountant position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our accounting team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing guidance to junior staff.
About the Role:- Oversight of financial operations, including processing financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Leadership and guidance of the accounting team, including training and mentoring junior staff.
- Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaboration with the tax team to prepare accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns.
- Development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations.
- Analysis of financial data, including budgeting and forecasting, to provide insights to management.
- CA or ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff.
- Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with senior management and other stakeholders.
