Bakery Support Position

This part-time position involves assisting the head baker in preparing and baking a variety of goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head baker in preparing and baking goods according to established recipes and guidelines. This includes measuring and mixing ingredients, kneading dough, and shaping dough into desired forms. Additionally, the candidate will monitor ovens and adjust baking times as needed, decorate or glaze pastries and desserts, maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a baker assistant is preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality products
  • Good time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the head baker and other team members
