Hospice is seeking a billing professional to join their team.
Job SummaryThis position plays a vital role in electronically billing patient claims, processing rejections, and posting insurance payments. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in various billing software applications, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third-party payers.
- Process all rejected and denied claims submitted to third-party payers efficiently.
- Ability to work with EOB or EOP CPT AND ICD 10 codes.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts from insurance carriers with database records.
- Enter pertinent patient information/details in the database completely and accurately.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to follow up on commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid denials.
- Requires 3+ years' experience in medical billing.
- Must have understanding in utilizing various billing software applications.
- Preferred one (1) year of previous healthcare-related billing experience.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products are required.
The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills, maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing procedures and relevant rules and regulations, and be proficient in MS Office applications.
