Email Marketing Coordinator

The role of the Email Marketing Specialist is a crucial one in maintaining a smooth and efficient email marketing process. Their primary responsibility lies in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of content in marketing emails by overseeing a correct and up-to-date production schedule.

Key responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and updating email marketing contents and artifacts such as seed lists, target data sources, visual archives of email templates, promotional discounts, landing pages, art files, and procedural manuals. Additionally, they are responsible for coordinating day-to-day email execution which includes maintaining an email production schedule, troubleshooting technical issues, formatting templates, making edits from proofing processes, and controlling deployment processes.

To ensure optimal email deliverability, this specialist must advise marketers on best practices (e.g., content issues, CAN-SPAM, technical specifications), run diagnostics within email applications, and collaborate with IT and data management teams on system configuration issues. Effective communication among various departments such as program attorneys, publishing, R&D, marketing managers, proofreaders, and art directors is also essential to guarantee that marketing emails are delivered as scheduled.

This position requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and strong proofreading/editing skills. Furthermore, they should possess the ability to work independently and be detail-oriented.

Job Requirements
  • 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong proofreading/editing skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
