Job Title: Retail Store Manager

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, manage, and evaluate staff performance to optimize productivity and increase sales.
  • Manage all store operations, delegate responsibilities, and supervise employees to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to employees to enhance their skills and abilities.
  • Set and monitor store's goals, making every effort to maximize efficiency and profits.
  • Manage appropriate levels of stock and purchases while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Address customer complaints/feedback in a professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Plan and execute specials and promos, including year-end clearance sales to boost revenue.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends and analyze sales data to make informed decisions.
  • Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct discipline, coaching, and termination of employees when necessary.
  • Protect against loss by monitoring security, training staff, and maintaining security cameras.

Requirements:

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Exceptional organization, strategic planning, and leadership skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong style sense and an eye for merchandising to create visually appealing displays and maintain store appearance.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and customer traffic principles to understand sales patterns and customer behavior.
