3D Environment Artist Opportunity

This role involves transforming raw scan data into high-quality 3D assets for our Unreal Engine library and FAB tools. You will also verify asset quality from external partners and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

The key responsibilities include:

* Processing 3D scanned assets and surface textures using photogrammetry workflows and Quixel's proprietary tools.
* Collaborating daily with the Team Lead and artists to align priorities, share feedback, and support the team.
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement of internal tools by providing feedback to the Pipeline Development Team.
* Participating in creating environment art and scenes in Unreal Engine to evaluate asset usability and realism.
* Ensuring all assets meet our visual and technical standards, including scale, tiling, topology, and texture consistency.
* Reviewing partner-produced assets, performing QA checks, and delivering clear feedback for consistent quality.
* Managing production deadlines and proactively communicating blockers or concerns with the team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated artist with experience in PBR workflows, general 3D graphics, and environment art. They should be fully proficient in industry-standard 3D and 2D software, such as Blender, 3ds Max or Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine. A natural problem-solver who adapts quickly to new tools, feedback, or production needs is also required. Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills, an exceptional eye for quality, especially when reviewing and giving feedback on assets delivered by external partners, is also necessary.
