Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our distributed team.

Since 2009, we have operated a collection of Internet businesses, with current businesses related to proxy services and remote work. We aim to leverage your talent and expertise to build scalable and automated web businesses.

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Specialist or similar role
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Experience using traditional web technologies
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Experience administering Linux/CentOS servers
• Optional: Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

This role involves:

• Installing and configuring software
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure through access controls, backups and firewalls etc.
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Key Benefits:

• Flexible Core Hours: Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm US Pacific Time.
• On Call: As we deal in infrastructure business therefore needs to be available on call after core hours as well on an as necessary basis.

This unique and challenging role will require someone who can jump in independently on new projects and communicate clearly with our distributed team
