Solution Design Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team, working closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance and support to prospective customers. As a trusted advisor, you will analyze customer requirements, propose tailored IT solutions, and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop IT solutions (networking, storage, servers, cloud, security, etc.) tailored to customer business needs, incorporating industry trends and best practices, and meeting customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals, bids, and presentations that showcase our products' value and capabilities, and address customer concerns and questions.
• Develop and present solution architecture diagrams, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and cost estimates that meet customer expectations, ensuring seamless project implementation and customer satisfaction.

Supportive Functions

• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospects and clients, highlighting our products' features and benefits, and addressing customer concerns and pain points.
• Assist in creating RFP/RFQ responses and ensure alignment with customer needs, ensuring our products meet their requirements and specifications, and driving business growth and revenue.
• Provide insights and recommendations for product/service improvement based on client feedback, driving innovation and growth in our products and services, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Engage with customers to understand their IT environment and pain points, positioning our products as solutions to their challenges, and building trust and credibility with stakeholders.

Partnerships and Collaborations

• Work closely with post-sales teams to ensure seamless project implementation and customer satisfaction, driving long-term relationships and loyalty, and ensuring customer retention and advocacy.
• Partner with vendors and OEMs for solution validations and technical support, ensuring our products integrate seamlessly with other technologies and ecosystems, and driving business growth and revenue.

Expertise and Knowledge

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings, maintaining a competitive edge in the market, and driving business growth and revenue.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of our product portfolio, including networking, storage, cloud services, servers, virtualization, and cybersecurity solutions, and their applications in various industries and use cases, and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with a strong foundation in IT solutions and technologies, and a proven track record of success in designing and delivering IT solutions.
• 3-5 years of experience in a pre-sales, solution architect, or technical sales role, preferably in an IT firm, with expertise in multiple vendor environments and ecosystems, and a strong background in IT solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IT solutions, including networking, storage, cloud services, servers, virtualization, and cybersecurity, and their applications in various industries and use cases.
• Experience with OEMs like Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo, VMware, and Fortinet is highly preferred, showcasing expertise in multiple vendor environments and ecosystems.
• Familiarity with solution design tools and platforms (e.g., Visio, cloud architecture tools) is essential for effective collaboration and communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts and ideas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing for creative solutions to customer challenges and pain points.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business benefits, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, and driving business growth and revenue.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Vendor certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, VCP, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, or similar, showcasing expertise in specific technologies and vendor ecosystems, and driving career advancement and professional growth.
