Job Title: Technical Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure issues, ensuring system availability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for timely resolution.

The successful candidate will provide L2 support for DFS platforms, ensuring uptime and performance. This includes monitoring and troubleshooting application issues using tools like ELK Stack and AppDynamics, performing root cause analysis and escalating to L3 or development teams as needed.

Maintaining application environments on RHEL, OpenShift, and IBM CloudPak is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the candidate will monitor and query databases (MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle) for issue analysis and understand core FinTech flows, APIs, message queues (Kafka, IBM MQ), and caching systems (Redis, DataGrid).

The role requires strong expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting tools, proficiency in databases, and exposure to Linux-based systems. Scripting knowledge is also essential, as well as familiarity with networking components and security best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Solid experience in IT operations within FinTech or related sectors
  • Strong expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Proficiency in databases: MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle/IBM DB2
  • Exposure to OpenShift, IBM CloudPak, and Linux-based systems
  • Scripting knowledge: Shell, Python, Ansible

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices
  • Linux server administration

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure FinTech environments
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Relevant certifications are a plus: OpenShift, IBM Cloud, MongoDB
