Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer/Developer who must have diverse expertise in backend business applications and web services using node.js. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of software development best practices, agile methodology, including coding standards, and continuous integration. This is a full-time onsite job.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expertise in database architecture and creating RestFull API, Graph QL, etcusing Node.JS.
  • Design and build core frameworks on Node.JS, shared services, NPM packages, and RESTful /socket APIs.
  • Strong experience in developing powerful backends with complex features using MEAN or MERN.
  • Translate complex requirements into easy-to-understand user experiences by following user-centered design processes.
  • Document and follow best design and development practices.
  • Follow best practices around source control, deployment, and issue tracking.
  • Evaluate and perform design tradeoffs regarding the architecture and software components.
  • Hands-on experience with EmberJS or ReactJS.
  • Proficiency in google maps API's and Sockets.
  • Experience with source/version control systems such as GIT.
  • Experience with build management tools such as Bamboo, Maven.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Node.js, Express.js, Typescript, Socket.io, AWS, MongoDB.
  • Development Tools: Deployment, Docker, AWS, Gitlab, Postman.
  • Frontend Technologies: CSS + HTML, Next.js, React.js.
Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with team members of varied backgrounds.
  • BS/MS in computer science/engineering, or relevant engineering discipline/experience preferred.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies quickly. Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and core java coding principles.
  • Proven experience as a Back-End Developer with a strong portfolio of web applications.
  • Experience with automated software testing, real-time system integration, database programming, web technologies, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Experience and comfort working within a dynamic and agile-focused environment.
