Accounting and Financial Controller

About the Role
The Citizen Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Regional Accounts Manager – Upper Sindh to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports, adhering to accounting principles and internal control procedures.
- Develop and implement financial systems and controls across the region.
- Monitor and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and manage the sourcing process.
- Prepare and review budgets, expenses, invoices, and other financial documents in a timely manner.
- Manage regional bank accounts, cash books, and advances, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
- Closely monitor and settle advances related to regions, areas, and schools within set deadlines.
- Identify expenditure trends and recommend budget levels for efficient expenditure control.
- Handle bank and financial institution matters, including reconciliation and management of banking relationships.
- Maintain confidentiality and secrecy protocols.
- Support internal audits of schools, areas, and regions, implementing recommendations as agreed upon.
- Oversee the input, handling, and reporting of financial data for the region.
- Collaborate with departmental management to develop annual operating budgets and provide fiscal guidance on program planning and administrative actions.
- Bring experience in managing finances, accounting, and reporting for medium-sized entities, preferably in a role next to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Experience with bank account management, interacting with banks, and performing bank reconciliations is essential.
- Demonstrate expertise in interacting with diverse individuals, whether reporting to you or not.
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor payments, and their review/approval processes.
- Development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Commitment to contributing to the vision and mission of TCF.
