Data Science and Machine Learning Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science and Machine Learning Manager to lead our team of data analysts and engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our data science strategy, overseeing the entire data analysis lifecycle, and translating complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts and machine learning engineers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Define the data science roadmap and research priorities aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data analysis strategy, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
  • Build and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world business problems.
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Champion a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data assets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in machine learning and data analysis techniques.
  • Leverage business understanding to define daily activities and tasks for the project team.
  • Manage a strong and continuous interaction with the product team to determine the most suitable analytics solution for specific business cases.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a data science or machine learning role.
  • CPG / FMCG industry knowledge is an advantage.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of data analysts and/or machine learning engineers.
  • A strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical concepts.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to think strategically and translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
