Job Title: Director of Research and Publishing

The National University of Sciences and Technology seeks a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Assistant Director (Publications) in its Research Directorate. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the NUST Research Portal, as well as managing conferences, workshops, and symposia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and development of research publications database
  • Maintenance and development of research conferences database
  • Maintenance and development of editorial activities database
  • Development of workflows for accurate AAR record keeping and report generation
  • Development of analytics and dashboards for strategic and operational levels

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Harmonizing with funding agency policies
  • Processing internal conference cases
  • Reimbursement of funds from HEC, PSF, PAS, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Preparing reports and analyses on research publications
  • Resolving queries and issues related to research publications and conferences
  • Liaison with research funding agencies and attending their events
  • Submission of reports and data to Senate, Ministries, Government stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/IT or Natural Sciences from a recognized institute
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Computer literacy and experience with office management tools
  • Data analysis skills and knowledge of research management system
  • Strong communication and management skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Publishing a full-length article in an international journal
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages or database
  • Knowledge of United Nations SDGs

Terms and Conditions:

  • Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
  • Candidates may be considered ineligible due to various reasons including weak academic profile or absence of NOC from Head of Institution
