Job Title: Video Software Engineer Lead

This position involves designing, implementing and optimizing software solutions for video processing in embedded platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance and reliable drivers for video hardware acceleration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and productization of various video solutions on Qualcomm processors
  • Developing, enhancing and debugging user mode and kernel mode drivers for video encoding and decoding on Windows-based systems
  • Ensuring seamless integration of video hardware accelerators with the operating system and application layers
  • Collaborating with Video HW, FW, GPU teams to define and optimize hardware/software interfaces for video codecs
  • Profiling, analyzing and optimizing video driver performance for low latency, power efficiency and high throughput on embedded platforms

You will be working independently with minimal supervision. A strong background in C/C++ programming, multithreading and OS concepts is essential. Knowledge of Windows OS internals, DirectX, DXVA and device driver programming is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electronic Engineering. Experience in video compression standards, multimedia domain and embedded OS is also desirable.
