Job Overview:

Tameer Microfinance Bank seeks an experienced and skilled Operation Manager to oversee the operational functions of a branch. The successful candidate will ensure effective control and compliance with regulatory instructions, manage cash areas, loan disbursal, repayments, and security documents while maintaining the integrity of the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the complete operational functions of the branch, including all reports and returns connected with it.
  • Ensure effective control environment with focus on compliance of Prudential and other regulatory instructions.

Cash Management:

  • Manage cash area effectively to provide service in line with quality indicators and maintain the integrity of the function at all times.
  • Take particular training measures to improve the delivery and performance of Cash officers and achieve the specified business standards in the cash area.

Loan Disbursal and Repayments:

  • Undertake effective disbursal of loan accounts subsequent to the availability of authentic documents and customer presence.
  • Coordinate repayment schedules and ensure execution of repayments on due date.

Security Documents and Custody:

  • Take charge of all security documents like cheque books, drafts, ATM cards, or other such instruments and arrange their custody and usage as per policy.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supervise signature scanning and upload to the system at account opening.
  • Approve signatures and thumb impressions in case of any doubt raised by cash officers.
  • Review teller's limits and approve when beyond assigned limits.
  • Assess cash requirements for prospective days and put up demand to HOPS and COPS, ensuring sufficient time for delivery.

Safety and Integrity:

  • Supervise movement of cash in and out of branches to ensure safety and integrity of the system.
  • Continuously review risk to cash area and branch safety, arranging/advising due precautions/measures for overall safety and integrity.

Contingency Planning:

  • Prepare contingency plan for COB and ensure its implementation.
