General Manager Finance Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager Finance to lead our organization's financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Planning & Systems: Involved in corporate planning during organizational restructuring, formulation of various systems, policies, procedures, commensurate with the need of the company, financial projections of collaborations/joint ventures envisaged.
  • Finance: Budgeting, forecasting, cost and credit control, margin analysis, costing and profitability analysis and management reporting, surplus fund management.
  • Banking and Working Capital: Preparation and appraisal of working capital proposals, fixing up arrangements of working capital.
  • Accounts & Audit: Finalization of accounts, divisional and branch accounting, attending statutory auditors, internal auditors, stores/materials accounting, tax audit details preparation, computerized accounting, debtors' management and credit control, accounting standards and their implementation, insurance portfolio.
  • Taxation: Oversees personal taxation - employees, filing of returns and attending tax authorities for assessments and appeals.
  • MIS, Budgeting & Costing: Costing - product and process, budget preparation and budgetary controls.

Requirements:

  • Qualified CA/ICMA/MBA.
  • 10-12 years of total work experience.
  • 5-7 years in the position of GM in a mid-sized/large company.
  • Fully conversant with fund raising and fund management.
  • Fully conversant with budgeting, forecasting, cost and credit control, margin analysis, taxation, costing and profitability analysis and management reporting.
  • Very well versed in dealing with banks and financial institutions and government agencies.
  • Experienced with arranging project finance for various projects as well as expansions.
  • Knowledge of innovative financing structures and funding mechanisms is an added advantage.
  • Smart and articulate with good communication and presentation skills.
