About the Job

This position plays a key part in supporting our teams in implementing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities. The successful candidate will provide expertise to ensure seamless delivery of services and organization of program activities.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mental health, with experience in managing teams and coordinating programs. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation:
    • Oversee daily program implementation, ensuring smooth operations and effective team management.
    • Foster collaboration between case management staff, social workers, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists.
    • Recruit and onboard IMC MHPSS field staff as needed.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Ensure MHPSS activities align with project objectives and timeline.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports on activity progress and outcomes.
    • Implement measuring tools to assess success and inform future programming.
  • Capacity Building:
    • Assess capacity development needs among MHPSS case management staff.
    • Develop and implement training plans to enhance staff capabilities.
    • Monitor training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant mental health field.
  • Advanced degree or qualification in MHPSS or Public Health is desired.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in mental health programs and activities.
  • Familiarity with IASC MHPSS guidelines in emergency settings.
