Job Title: Database Administrator with Azure SQL Expertise

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled database administrator with in-depth knowledge of Azure SQL to join our team remotely. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems on Azure.

Your expertise will enable us to optimize database queries, ensure data integrity and security, and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database systems on Azure SQL, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, applying your knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Manage backup and recovery processes, guaranteeing data security and integrity
  • Collaborate with software development teams to optimize database queries and improve system efficiency
  • Conduct regular database maintenance and updates, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices
  • Prepare documentation related to database procedures and processes, facilitating knowledge sharing and smooth operations
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with Azure SQL
  • Strong understanding of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles, with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, including indexing and query rewriting
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, including incremental backups and disaster recovery planning
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Fluent English required, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
