Business Operations Role
The Business Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing key business areas related to the development of a financial portfolio and risk management service. This role requires a strong background in finance, economics, or engineering, as well as 3 years of experience in a Financial Operations environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Gather and translate customer needs and business requirements into effective consumer experience descriptions;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product requirements, considering various factors such as business, legal, customer care, usability, and technical issues;
- Contribute to the development of the product roadmap and manage ongoing changes to product implementation in response to analysis and market changes;
- Communicate regularly with senior management to ensure product tradeoffs are informed by data and made efficiently;
- Maintain relationships with data vendors and technology outsourcers;
- Conduct product reviews with prospects and clients;
- Organize demos and training sessions;
- Ensure efficient internal communication about product-related topics.
Requirements
A Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering is required. 3 years prior experience in a Financial Operations environment is preferred. Familiarity with Portfolio Managers and Middle Office functions is also beneficial. Understanding of derivative products and business trade flow, including market value/PnL decomposition and risk reporting, is essential. Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or Markit is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
