We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Officer to join our team. As a Field Officer, you will play a vital role in the implementation of our business strategy, working closely with farmers, growers, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of our initiatives.
About the Role- You will be responsible for procuring seed from Leaf Agronomy as per requirement and distributing it to farmers.
- Farmers' registration and arrangement for seed sowing will also be your responsibility.
- You will conduct periodic meetings/workshops with growers in your area to educate them on quality requirements and best practices.
- Your goal will be to ensure the plantation of a suitable crop size in your jurisdiction, enabling us to meet our company targets.
- You will be responsible for finalizing seedbed, crop & yield assessment surveys to determine actual crop size.
- You will ensure that all sustainability initiatives, including FSM, are completed as per expectations and timelines.
- You will provide crop extension services to contracted growers for crop improvement, safe use of agrochemicals, and implementation of standard methodologies.
- You will follow guidelines from in-charge to improve knowledge about crop husbandry practices and implement them at the farmer's level.
- You will participate in afforestation initiatives, including nursery raising, sapling distribution, and ensuring their planting as per recommendations.
- You will select better species and train planting parties on post-planting care to ensure maximum survival.
- You will conduct post-plantation surveys and maintain records in a PC-based database.
- Degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in agriculture or related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
