Senior Accountant Job Description

As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of general accounting functions. This includes preparing and analyzing financial statements and management reports, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions, and reconciling bank statements and other financial records.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage day-to-day general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
    • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
    • Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and provide accurate financial insights.
    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, as well as other relevant financial reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience supporting US-based clients. Additionally, you should have proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).

  • Education:
    • CA Finalist (mandatory). Additional academic qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in general accounting, finance, or a related field. Prior experience working with US-based clients is highly desirable.
