Software Developer Wanted for High-Quality Web Applications

Job Description

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and web services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP and Python, with a focus on developing and maintaining high-quality web applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements and deliver the final product through full lifecycle development.
  • Transition legacy systems to modern technologies to enhance performance and maintainability.
  • Work closely with various teams to design, develop, and implement new features and web services.
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable code incorporating error handling, unit testing, and defensive programming techniques.
  • Regularly test applications for reliability and usability, optimizing performance to manage peak traffic efficiently.
  • Provide daily business support, including bug fixes and technical assistance.
  • Document and present code structures, logic, and system architecture clearly and comprehensively.
  • Conduct developer testing, perform code reviews, and deploy applications using CI/CD tools.
  • Offer guidance and share knowledge with peers to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

The selected candidate will be able to work independently or collaboratively, demonstrating high initiative and responsibility. They will also be able to mentor junior developers and contribute to a positive work culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Programming Proficiency: Strong experience in PHP frameworks (Magento 1 & 2, Laravel, Zend, Symfony) and Python.
  2. API and Cloud Services: Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, API gateways, and AWS cloud services.
  3. Data Management: Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and both relational and NoSQL databases, including their respective trade-offs.
  4. Integration Skills: Proven ability to integrate with service providers such as payment gateways, logistics partners, CRM systems, and SMS services.
  5. Code Quality and Initiative: Commitment to delivering secure, high-quality code, with a proactive approach to implementing optimal solutions for all features.
  6. Software Design Principles: Expertise in SOLID principles, design patterns, dependency injection (DI), and version control systems like Git.
  7. Release Management: Experience with release management and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
  8. System Architecture: Experience with multi-tenancy and geographically distributed systems.
  9. Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  10. Work Ethic: Ability to work independently or collaboratively, demonstrating high initiative and responsibility.
