Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required for this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare principles, practices, and regulations.

The primary responsibility of the Instructor is to deliver high-quality education and training to students aspiring to become competent and compassionate health care assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on activities that cover all aspects of the Health Care Assistant program curriculum.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as patient care, medical terminology, infection control, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Facilitate clinical training experiences by overseeing students during their practical rotations in healthcare settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
  • Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams, assignments, and practical assessments to measure understanding and proficiency in course materials.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them enhance their skills and address areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in the healthcare field, including changes in regulations, best practices, and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with other instructors, program coordinators, and administrative staff to ensure smooth program operations, effective communication, and continuous improvement of teaching methods and materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Thorough understanding of healthcare principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Current certification as a Health Care Assistant or equivalent is required.
  • Additonal certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or medication administration may be advantageous.
