Role and Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Assistant Manager at JobItUs is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and engineering facilities within the Sponge Iron Plant in Gujarat. Key responsibilities include:

1. Leadership: Assume a leadership role in the Chief Engineer's absence and make key decisions to ensure successful operations.
2. Training: Conduct regular training sessions for engineers and staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
3. Monitoring: Monitor daily log books and implement corrective measures as necessary. Maintain open communication with the Chief Engineer and other stakeholders regarding departmental activities and incidents.
4. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for repair and maintenance work. Effectively manage vendors and negotiate contracts.
5. Quality Control: Evaluate the quality of engineering goods procured by the organization.
6. Safety and Security: Stay up-to-date on firefighting procedures and protocols. Represent the engineering department in senior management meetings when the Chief Engineer is absent.
7. Utility Management: Monitor and record utility consumption to maintain efficiency.
8. Performance Metrics: Maintain a comprehensive history of plant equipment and performance metrics.
