Your Role

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer with strong experience in reporting and data visualization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining databases, while also generating business-critical reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational databases.
  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support data extraction and transformation.
  • Develop, schedule, and automate recurring and ad hoc reports using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or similar.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Assist in data migration, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, and documentation efforts.
  • Work closely with data analysts, software engineers, and QA teams.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL(PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools like Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or similar (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
