Country Manager Job

We are seeking a skilled Country Manager to lead our operations in Pakistan. This is a challenging role that requires someone with experience in payments or other financial systems, as well as strong partnership and negotiation skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in partnering and working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives. They will also be able to negotiate and execute contracts and agreements, and have established relevant business networks.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our strategy and partnerships in Pakistan, enabling local payments processing for international merchants. You will work closely with internal teams on operations, product, and technology roadmaps, and analyze performance results to optimize accordingly.

  • Contact potential partners -acquirers and banks- to build relationships and negotiate commercial partnerships.
  • Work with internal teams to integrate partnerships into our operations and product offerings.
  • Analyze performance results and make data-driven decisions to optimize our business.
  • Improve operational capabilities for different payment methods.
  • Stay up-to-date on local regulatory requirements and engage with regulators as needed.

You will also be responsible for maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, attending conferences and industry events, and staying on top of local regulations. If necessary, you will engage with local lawyers, accountants, and tax experts to ensure the operation is running smoothly.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in payments or other financial systems in Pakistan.
  • Proven success partnering and working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.
  • Significant experience negotiating and executing contracts and agreements.
  • Established relevant business network.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make smart decisions based on solid strategy and deep partnership understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Curious profile and positive attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of the market.
