Android Development Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Android developer to collaborate on our cutting-edge projects. As a key team member, you will have the chance to design and build advanced applications using Kotlin and Java.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and build complex applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs to deliver robust solutions.
  • Conduct unit testing for code quality, including edge cases, usability, and reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Perform upgrades and maintenance while modifying existing software to improve performance, correct errors, and adapt to new hardware.
  • Recommend software upgrades as needed, and analyze requirements and user needs to determine whether system design is feasible and can be completed within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, analysts, and others on projects, and gather information on project capabilities and limitations, interface, and performance requirements to create optimal software.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using mathematical models and scientific analysis to predict and measure possible outcomes.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data to understand system capabilities and requirements.
  • Direct system testing, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure normal program functioning.
  • Manage the work of technologists, programmers, technicians, and other related team members, and provide instruction on writing software code as needed.
  • Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment to confirm specifications have been met.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a reputable university.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Android App Development or Mobile App Development.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them technically.
  • Strong knowledge of Google's Android design principles and guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of emerging mobile technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Previous programming experience.
  • Familiarity with development, testing, and database management system software.
  • Proficient with application and computer servers.
  • Mobile application development experience on Android.
  • Knowledge of Android development tools and paradigms.
  • Strong skills developing with Kotlin.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Android platform SDKs.
  • Experience creating clients for REST APIs.
  • Understanding of modern connected application architectures and implementations.
  • Ability to resolve issues that arise in backend and embedded contexts.
  • Experience supporting application designers and content creators.
  • Experience with evaluation and integration of internal, third-party, and open-source technologies.
  • Familiarity with common development tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the design and analysis of computer algorithms and data structures.
