Job Title: Retail Operations Manager


Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will oversee all operational activities of the showroom, including sales, business development, stock management, and customer service. This retail professional must possess excellent communication and organizational skills to manage a team effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Monitoring: Ensure customers receive satisfactory service and quality products by monitoring sales activities regularly.
  2. Floor Tours: Regularly tour the sales floor, engaging with colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues.
  3. Profit Maximization: Responsible for maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets through effective business development strategies.
  4. Promotional Materials: Prepare promotional materials and displays to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
  5. Sales Analysis: Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales trends to facilitate informed planning and decision-making.
  6. Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to retain existing customers and acquire new ones through exceptional customer service.
  7. Business Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and initiate changes to enhance the business's competitiveness in the local market.
  8. Customer Queries: Deal with customer queries and complaints efficiently, ensuring prompt resolutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  9. Pricing and Stock Control: Oversee pricing and stock control processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and maintain healthy profit margins.
  10. Financial Records: Maintain accurate statistical and financial records, providing valuable insights for business growth and development.
  11. Special Projects: Complete special projects as required by senior management, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  12. Staffing Issues: Address staffing issues in liaison with HR, including interviewing, conducting appraisals, providing training, and implementing performance reviews.
  13. Quality and Safety: Ensure high standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are maintained throughout the showroom.
  14. Events and Promotions: Organize special promotions, displays, and events to engage customers and drive sales.
  15. Market Trends: Stay informed about market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and competitor activity.
  16. Team Management: Motivate and manage a team to achieve sales growth and efficiency, promoting a positive work environment and fostering collaboration.
Requirements:
  1. A bachelor's degree in management sciences or a related field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in handling retail outlets/showrooms, with expertise in sales and customer service.
  3. A pleasant and confident personality, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Good IT skills and proficiency in dealing with client demands and customer complaints.
