Business Proposal Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Proposal Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analyze current and future markets to identify new opportunities.
  2. RFP Response and Compliance: Respond to RFPs and business proposals (Bids), ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.
  3. Proposal Management: Develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines in collaboration with Proposal Managers.
  4. Content Creation: Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with RFP criteria (content, formatting, length, layout).
  6. Template Maintenance: Maintain quality using templates and consistent proposal-writing standards.
  7. Documentation Organization: Organize and update all related proposal documentation.
  8. Bid Tracking: Track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes.
  9. Process Improvement: Continuously refine and improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries.
  10. Submission Quality: Ensure all submissions are error-free, well-organized, and meet formatting and deadline requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Educational Background: Must have a degree in English Language & Literature.
  2. Work Experience: Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding (preferred).
  3. Additional Skills: 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is a plus.
  4. Familiarity with Freelance Platforms: Prior experience bidding on platforms like Upwork is highly desirable.
  5. Communication and Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
  6. Research Abilities: Strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation.
  7. Freelance Market Knowledge: Familiarity with freelance marketplaces and bidding strategies.
  8. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  9. Time Management and Analytical Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently under pressure.
  10. Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  11. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
