We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Receivable professional. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in credit control and financial management.

The Job:

  • Collecting due and overdue debts with efficiency.
  • Effectively contacting customers when payment is overdue, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Processing payments and updating our system accurately once payment received, maintaining data integrity.
  • Identifying potential bad debts and escalating these to the Credit Control manager as required, minimizing financial risk.
  • Generating reminder letters and statements, enhancing customer communication.
  • Dealing with customer queries effectively, providing top-notch customer service at all times.
  • To actively drive the reduction in invoice queries within the business, streamlining processes.
  • To highlight any issues to the Credit Control manager that may impact cash collection, ensuring prompt action.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service, meeting expectations.
  • Timely and accurate reporting, supporting business decisions.
  • General administration within the finance department as and when required, contributing to a smooth workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications">

AAT qualification or working towards is desirable but not essential; recent graduates with a BA Accounting and Finance, or similar, are also encouraged to apply.

Strong and confident communication skills, along with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management skills, are essential for success in this role.

Hands-on approach, strong communicator, and excellent interpersonal skills are vital for effective collaboration and teamwork.

Solid IT skills and technology savvy, with ability to make decisions using good judgment both quickly and efficiently, are necessary for adapting to changing circumstances.

Ability to work under own initiative, maintain confidentiality, and integrity at all times, is crucial for upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
