We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing designs for furniture and interior solutions.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a strong engineering background with expertise in manufacturing design, focusing on efficiency optimization and material wastage reduction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to ensure seamless coordination between design and production teams, aligning manufacturing processes with innovative design outputs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for furniture and interior solutions.
  • Closely collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure design output aligns with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Analyze and reduce material wastage through efficient production processes.
  • Oversee the order processing cycle to ensure accurate design execution from concept to final product.
  • Source cost-effective materials while maintaining quality standards by collaborating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Implement design improvements based on production feedback and market trends.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality assurance protocols in design execution.
  • Support new product development initiatives with innovative and practical design solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or related field)
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the furniture, construction, or related industries.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Knowledge of wastage calculation and optimization techniques in design and production.
  • Ability to manage design projects while ensuring timely execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
