Job Summary:

This role requires a seasoned financial leader to drive our financial strategy and operations in Pakistan. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Pakistan's financial, tax, and regulatory environment, coupled with strategic vision and operational acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board based on financial analysis and forecasts.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, including coordination with local tax authorities and auditors.
  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with all financial regulations in Pakistan, including SECP and SBP guidelines.

3. Financial Operations & Controls:

  • Oversee treasury, cash flow management, and working capital optimization.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and financial reconciliations.

4. Fundraising & Investor Relations:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
  • Manage capital structure, debt, and equity financing activities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including investors and the Board.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Identify and develop future finance leaders within the organization.

6. Business Performance & Cost Optimization:

  • Conduct financial analysis to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Support business units with financial insights and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives to improve profitability and ROI on investments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: CA, ACCA, CFA, or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role in Pakistan.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Pakistan's financial, legal, and regulatory environment is essential. Experience in Cement industry is preferred.
